Overview The HMGCO 1.5 course is a 3 or 4 day instructor-led lecture / lab-based course focusing primarily on the implementation of the MGX 8880 and 8850 Media Gateways (MGX-MG) based upon the VXSM module in Voice over Broadband (VoBB) Mobile Wireless and Wireline solutions applications.
Pre-Requisites
- WAN Quick Start self-paced CD-ROM
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital voice techniques
- PC terminal emulator experience

- Verify that the MGX-MG is equipped with the appropriate hardware and software to fulfil the stated requirements
- Successfully bring up a previously-installed MGX-MG for basic standalone operation, and / or, in the case where the MGX-MG forms part of an ATM, IP, or ATM+IP network, establish and validate network communications
- Provision VoAAL2 trunked and VoIP switched services on VXSM, AXSM, and RPM service modules (as appropriate)
